Annual Report

Okay – I think I have together what I need for Ellen & Erin at school tomorrow. Erin needed a letter written for a time capsule which I did during the annual church meeting because I was almost suffocating in there. Things like that make one wonder, what would Jesus think of all the ‘numbers’ of the ‘committees’ of the ‘programs’? Would he encourage us to continue; would he affirm us in our work & progress; would he, too, vote for a change in the Christian Education set-up? I wonder if, maybe, he would take the Annual Report and ever so gently set it down on the table, walk to the podium and encourage us to just Love One Another--all the rest is just details. Oh – that we would be stirred to action.

Ryan did come home from Brazil yesterday – Praises be to God for His faithfulness in protecting Ryan as he travels here & there. God, I so do not want to take his safety for granted. I pray each time he leaves that you will keep us safe and bring him home safely. This is my prayer each time he leaves—my fervent, righteous prayer. Lord, help us to be your instruments. Help us to make beautiful music that transcends language barriers and speaks love to all who hear. Help me to be more patient with Miss Emily since I just told her to leave my premises into another room because every thing she is doing is LOUD---ugh! Forgive me. M,
